shells wrist warmers

Materials:
8 ply yarn
4mm hook

Size: Fits small to medium adult.

Shell: 2dc, 1ch, 2dc all worked in the same stitch.

Pattern:

Ch 36, join with sl st to form a ring.

Row 1: Ch1, sc in same stitch as joining, (skip next 2 stitches, shell in next stitch, skip next 2 stitches, sc in next stitch).
Repeat ( ) ending with shell in next stitch, join with sl st to top of first sc.

Rows 2, 4, 6, 8:  Ch2 (counts as first dc of shell), complete shell by doing 1dc, ch1, 2dc in same stitch as joining.
Work a sc in the 1ch space of each shell, and a shell in each sc. Join with sl st to second of first 2 chain, sl st in next stitch and into the next space.

Rows 3, 5, 7, 9: Ch1, sc. Work a shell in each sc, and a sc in each shell. Join with sl st to top of first sc.

Row 10: Ch1, sc. Work a shell in each sc, and a sc in the 1ch space of each shell.
Skip working the last shell of the row, instead make 5ch, then join with sl st to top of first sc.

Row 11: Ch2 (counts as first dc of shell), complete shell by doing 1dc, ch1, 2dc in same stitch as joining.
Work a sc in the 1ch space of each shell, and a shell in each sc.
When you reach the 5ch of the previous row, sc in the 3rd of the 5ch, then join with sl st to second of first 2 chain.
Fasten off yarn, and weave in ends.
